Technology: Digital Signage, Emotive EEG Headset, and Microsoft Kinect
The museum I had worked so hard on had been destroyed, but I managed to save most of the electronics and decided to re-purpose them in another, but similar direction. One of the original ideas for the museum was to provide a place for veterans to use art as a therapy for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. That goal could still be accomplished in a more direct way, by using neuro-feedback and bio-feedback, coupled with imagery to create a feedback loop for desired brainwave states.
Simply put, if you watch beautiful images, it will affect your mood, brain activity and physiological state. That is good by itself, but what if we put an EEG headset on you or put you in front of a Microsoft Kinect motion sensor, and allow your electrical brain activity and your physiological state to influence what you see, and what you see to influence how you feel?
